Announcements and Updates:

• Parish Directory:  The parish council has voted to photograph and produce the new parish directory ourselves — no company will be involved.  Roy and Mickey Georger will lead this project and it will begin after the fish fry, Holy Week, and Easter are all behind us.  Anyone who has interest or experience is welcome to participate.

• Fish Fry Tickets:  All fish fry tickets have been distributed, and we have parishioners that need more.  If any one has any tickets they think they won't be able to sell, please turn them in to Jim Verschelden or Tom Pullen.  Also, any money from ticket sales can be turned in to Jim or Tom at any time.

• Special Thanks and Welcome:  A special thank you to Tom Pullen and Barbara Worthen for their loyal service on the Parish Council, and a big welcome to Ben Schmidt and Kristin Amaya for stepping up and taking positions on the Council.  Thanks and God Bless!

• Counters:  We are in need of two or more counters.  Your service would include one week a month for about an hour.  Training is available.  A Special thanks to Don and Mary Harper and Larry and Rita Cotton for their service as counters.

• Meals on Wheels:  Volunteers are needed for Meals on Wheels for the week of March 22-26.  If you are available to deliver meals, please sign up on the sheet posted in the back of the church.  It only takes approximately 30 minutes each day and is a valuable outreach in our community.

• Servers Refresher Training Session:  There will be a refresher training session held on March 21 following Mass for anyone interested in serving or anyone who feels that they need to be refreshed on procedures.  Please contact Mark Thompson.  Thanks!

• Easter lily memorial envelopes are now available.  If you wish to purchase an Easter lily please fill out the envelope, and return it no later than Sunday, March 21 to ensure plenty of time for ordering.  Thanks!

• Stations of the Cross:  We will pray the stations of the cross every Friday during Lent at 7:00 p.m.

• Year for Priests:  Pope Benedict XVI has declared a Year for Priests, beginning June 19, 2009.  For more information, please see the recent bulletin insert, or this article from Our Sunday Visitor.

• March Community Collections:
  C.O.P.E.:  canned soup, cereal
  Guardian Family Services:  garbage bags, Ziploc bags, aluminum foil, Saran wrap

• Please place your aluminum cans in the bins behind the parish center. All proceeds go to Fr. Mujule’s home parish in Uganda.
